Sarah Palin is claiming she was vindicated by Friday's Troopergate report while investigations into her unethical practices as Governor have expanded. Here's what Palin said yesterday on a phone interview from Philadelphia:"Well, I'm very, very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing ... any hint of any kind of unethical activity there." The report says the exact opposite about Palin and her actions:

Sarah Palin has flown out of Alaska after a rapturous rally vowing to take common sense values with her.

As most of our thoughts are now turned towards this fall and the possibility of a larger than usual loss for the party in power- the Democrats-we should take a minute to look ahead to the presidential contest in 2012. With unemployment likely over the 10% mark by election day this November and hot topics like the war in Afghanistan, the spiraling deficit and immigration to name a few the Democrats will suffer larger than usual losses but they might not be as dire as analysts and pollsters are predicting.

BURBANK, Calif. — Vice President Joe Biden is headed to Jay Leno’s stage. The Friday appearance will be Biden’s first stop on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” since he took office in January 2009. He was a guest in 2007, and stopped in after he accepted the Democratic vice presidential nomination in 2008. President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and White House senior adviser David Axelrod also have made appearances on the late-night show. Biden’s visit could signal that he doesn’t hold grudges.
