Leaked copies of two speeches Sarah Palin prepared for last year’s US election night have revealed she planned to salute her husband Todd as the nation’s “first ever Second Dude” in the event of victory.

In defeat, which she suffered with Senator John McCain at the hands of Barack Obama and Joe Biden, the Republican vice-presidential candidate wanted to tell Todd to “get ready for the Iron Dog snow machine race!”.

John McCain's wife Cindy, who generally stares vacantly behind him on stage without speaking, joined in on the McCain-Palin mudslinging fest today. Cindy McCain basically accused Obama of being the boogeyman of military budgets, threatening the life of her military son. Of course when it comes to John McCain, every issue eventually evolves into a discussion about the military and/or his POW status, so this comment from Cindy shouldn't come as a surprise.

One of the CLAIMS at the vice presidential debate by Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was that SHE FAVORED divestment of Alaska state assets from the brutal Sudanese government and the genocide in Darfur.  ABC News journalist Justin Rood reports on October 3, 2008 that this statement by Gov. Palin is completely at odds with the true reality of the Palin administration’s actions when faced with a divestment resolution by Alaska lawmakers.
