It’s Not Sarah’s Fault…Just Ask Her!

Alaska Govenor Sarah Palin and "Joe the Plumber" aka Joe Wurzelbacher.
When it comes to taking responsibility for her failures, Sarah Palin is completely unaccountable. Her finger is always pointed at the most convenient scapegoat. Last fall, I said she was George W. Bush with lipstick; nothing is ever her fault. With her resignation, she has set a new bar for blame.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Now that the corruption case against former Sen. Ted Stevens has been dropped, Alaska Rep. Don Young wants Stevens to run for governor - a move that would set up a Republican primary between the veteran lawmaker and Sarah Palin, if she decides to seek a second term in 2010.

Alaska rids itself of one of it’s crooks

Ted Stevens has lost the Alaska Sentate Race to Mark Begich! What does this mean for Sarah Palin? Well, she was hoping Stevens would win, and then eventually be forced out, leaving the seat up for grabs. Palin then could have ran for the spot. However, Mark Begich’s close, but clean victory pushes Palin to the side, atleast for now.
AK-Sen: Begich’s lead increases

1,061 . Stevens (R) 136,466 Begich (D) 137,527 That’s another 10,000 counted, leaving roughly 28,000 or so ballots left, most from Begich-friendly districts. Update : And more numbers come in: Stevens (R) 137,937 (47.37%) Begich (D) 138,959 (47.02) That’s a margin of 1,022, so it has shrunk a bit. That’s probably Wasilla (Palin-land) checking in. They were due today. So we’re at .35 percent. If Begich gets over 0.5 percent, any recount would have to be paid by the GOP. Under that, and the state pays for it.

Kenneth Vogel of Politico.com writes that Sarah Palin has no intentions of fading away. Palin told CNN Wednesday morning “2012 sounds so far off that I can’t even imagine what I’d be doing then.” But - what about 2010?
There’s plenty of buzz in Alaska political circles that Palin has her eye on a Senate seat, which would give her a platform from which to garner national press, boost her foreign policy credentials (an area of particular concern during her V.P. bid) and build a Washington network crucial to a presidential campaign.
